Ages to Start

martial9-boy-225x377.jpgWhat is a good age to start?

Our Kids San Yun Do classes start around ages 8-10.
Some kids may start younger with Instructor approval.

Martial arts trainging involves many little steps or progressions. As you advance in our martial art programs, the feeling of accomplishment comes from added confidence. This is especially beneficial for children who may need a  boost.

An increase in self confidence for kids (as well as adults) will have beneficial effects in other areas of life.

Martial arts training has so many great benefits covering physical, mental and emotional aspects that it’s no wonder why it has become one of the most popular activities for both adults and children.

What is San Yun Do

San Yun Do - at ANASan Yun Do

San Yun Do Translates to Tri-Harmony Way or The Way of Three Harmonies. The three harmonies we refer to can manifest in several ways: Mind/Body/Spirit, Breath/Motion/Structure, Base/Angle/Leverage, etc. When all three are working together, it can be magic...Imagination In Motion!

The result of a combined 32 years experience studying many different arts, San Yun Do (SYD) is dedicated to taking care of yourself in today's world against today's dangers. At SYD's core is a simple, practical, easily learned teaching methodology designed to instill in new students efficient body mechanics, movement, awareness of surroundings, and creative thinking under pressure.

For the experienced martial artist, SYD offers a fresh perspective that allows the practitioner to look at all previous training and see how the seemingly disparate techniques and concepts can bridged together to create a wholly new perspective.

KSYD is our Family Program. This is verysimilar to the SYD...with the difference being the focus on Artistic Expression and Conditioning rather than Combat. Students learn the creative side of Martial Arts, exploring such things as show choreography, acrobatics, strength and flexibility training, working cooperatively with each other.
